Intel promised to began the deliveries of Skulltrail platform in the end of the first quarter. Intel will present the processors Core 2 Extreme QX9775 (3.2 GHz, LGA 771) and Core 2 extreme QX9770 (3.2 GHz, LGA 775) during March in the present year. Associate reported that Intel began the delivery of Core 2 extreme QX9775 (3.2 GHz) LGA 771 processors already today. This processors have four core, they are released on 45 nm technology and equipped with 2 X 6 mb cache in the second level, they support 1600 MHz bus, TDP level is equal to 150 W, and official wholesale price is $1499.  The description of Core 2 extreme QX9775 (3.2 GHz) processor can be found on Intel site . Although this processor has LGA 771 design, typical for server processors Xeon . Note that this processor has free multiplier .  Processors with marking SLANY relate to C0 stepping , Intel note that these processors are compatible only with the motherboard D5400XS, witch deliveries will begin this month.  Let us note that the cost of this motherboard will begin from $650, and it require not only two processors Core 2 extreme QX9775, but also expensive Fb-dimm memories .
