MediaTek company consolidated revenue in January this year amounted to US $ 646.7 million US dollars, up 15.2% compared with the previous month, and by 22.1% compared with January 2015.
In December last year, the Chinese company's revenue fell below $ 600 million. This decrease in profit is due to a decrease in orders for the single-chip platform for smartphones. Now, profit increased due to the fact that smartphone manufacturers have begun production of new devices that either have been already presented.
MediaTek also said that in 2016 the company plans to focus on the productive SoC platforms that can serve as a base for flagship smartphone, and make a worthy competition to Snapdragon 820 and Exynos 8890 successors.
Previously, experts have estimated that the revenue of MediaTek company will fall by 7-15% in the first quarter of 2016.
