A few days ago, the South Korean company Samsung has announced a new single-chip platform Exynos 7 Octa 7870 which will form the base of the smartphone Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 model year.
The composition of the new chip Samsung Exynos 7 Octa 7870 includes a total of eight cores Cortex-A53, running at a clock frequency of 1.7 GHz and a graphics processor Mali-T830. In this respect, it is similar to the Exynos 7 Octa 7580, with the difference that the latter is carried out on a much less efficient 28-nanometer process, while the new chip is manufactured in compliance with the 14-nanometer rules. Also Samsung Exynos 7 Octa 7870 has built-in LTE-modem with Cat.6 and support LPDDR3. Other specifications of the new processors include support for display resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 resolution, 16-megapixel cameras (or 8-megapixel in the "Dual Camera" mode). As promised manufacturer, the new processor consumes 30 less power than chips of the same class, but built on 28-nanometer rules, while maintaining the same performance level . Related Products :
