In the past month appeared the first dual core processor intel celeron, and this announcement transferred all celeron processors to the dual core performance.  AMD Company evaluated the need to release dual core sempron. First , the references about two version dual core processors sempron 2100+  socket AM2 can be found on official aSRock pages  . They operate at 1.8 GHz frequency  , support 800 MHz system bus hyperTransport, and they are equipped with 2 X 256 KB cache in the second level. The differences between those processors consist in the belonging with stepping G1 (SDO2100IAA4DD) and G2 (SDO2100IAA4DO) respectively. Those processor are released using 65 nm technology . Dual core processor sempron 2100+ (1.8 GHz) was noted in Chinese retail . There is no information about the presence of two cores on the packing . Before us the G1 stepping processor   , released in 4-th week 2008 , in the end of January. CPU- Z Utility cannot correctly reflect information about this processor, but most characteristics are already visible. This is the 65 nm technical process, core frequency  1800 MHz, system bus  frequency HT 800 MHz, 2 X 64 KB cache in the first level for data, 2 X 64 KB cache in the first level for commands, 2 X 256 KB cache in the second level. The number of core, naturally, is equal to two. Processor with this cache volume in the second level already existed in AMD production . This was the athlon 64 X2 3600+, and it operated at 2.0 GHz frequency  . The tests of sempron 2100+ (1.8 GHz) with two cores processor show that this processor is even faster then Celeron e1200 in some games; therefore AMD answer  can be considered as adequate. The Prices of Sempron 2100+ in Chinese stores begin from  $57.
