Analysts have long predicted the decline in the Tablet PC market.
According to GSMArena, IDC analysts predict that the decline by 5.9% in 2016. The supply of tablets due to increased competition from hybrid devices 2-in-1.
"This significant shift in form factor will lead to the fact that the devices on the Windows platform for the first time will have a significant impact on the tablet market. Windows 10 seems to be making progress in the computer and tablet markets, mainly due to the devices with large screens. Although free licensing of Windows 10 for products with a 9-inch displays, Windows proportion of growth in the market provide primarily tablet with screens diagonal from 9 to 13 inches."- says program director of IDC Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Device Trackers Ryan Reith.
It is noteworthy that the segment of hybrid tablet PCs in 2016 will grow by a whopping 73% year on year. And their annual deliveries to increase from 16.6 million units in 2015 to 63.8 million copies in 2020. Moreover, users increasingly will give preference to the Windows devices on board.
