After a slight decline in notebooks sales in January 2016, in February, their sales have returned to growth. Shipments of notebooks produced by the five major brands, increased by 2%, while the supply of top-3 ODM are manufacturers of notebooks increased by 1%.
Despite a significant decline in shipments of HP notebooks, the American company, also known as Hewlett-Packard, still managed to fulfill the plan of deliveries in the first quarter of fiscal 2016, ended Jan. 31. Lenovo, which has demonstrated high performance notebook shipments in January, February, laptops shipped less than Dell, whose growth was achieved largely due to the demand for corporate laptops with Windows 10 on board.
As for the three leading ODM-notebook manufacturers, Electronics company is leading Compal , which increased its notebook shipments by 10% in February. Shipments of notebooks produced by Quanta Computer, declined as the company's key customer in the face of Toshiba gradually leaving consumer notebook market, and the demand for Acer notebooks was lower than expected.
