Analysts from Stack Overflow company conducted a survey among 56 thousand developers from 173 countries in which it became clear that at the present time more and more developers prefer to use the OS X operating system instead of the traditional Linux.
As specified by the initiators of the study, in the past year, OS X and Linux distributions ahead, becoming the second most in demand among developers, which means that by 2017 Windows will use less than 50% of developers. Also, representatives of Stack Overflow note that their work can be considered objective since the survey was conducted among a large number of respondents from around the world.
In the case of mobile operating systems, developers increasingly prefer Android - 61,9% of respondents, 47.5% of iOS developers involved. At the same time the most popular programming language still remains Rust, after which there is a "apple» Swift, further F #, Scala and Go, which is almost at the same level as Clojure, React, Haskell and Python.
