With the transfer of athlon 64 X2 processors on 65 nm technology AMD company revives some models. For example, on G2 stepping ( brisbane core ) AMD will release the processor athlon 64 X2 5400+ (2.8 GHz) and also the processor athlon 64 X2 5600+ (2.9 GHz), which will preserve TDP value not more than 65 W.
In the second quarter AMD will present 65 nm version processor athlon 64 X2 5800+, which will operate at 3.0 GHz frequency , and equipped with 2 X 512 KB cache in the second level. Processor will be based on G2 stepping core brisbane, and will obtain TDP not more than 89 W.
In the second quarter AMD will remove 90 nm athlon 64 X2 , we deal here with Athlon 64 X2 6000+ (3.0 GHz) and Athlon 64 X2 6400+ (3.2 GHz) with 2 X 1 mb cache. As is known, all 65 nm model athlon 64 X2 have only 2 X 512 KB cache in the second level.
65 nm processor athlon 64 X2 5600+ (2.9 GHz) will exist in two versions - with TDP level not more than 65 and 89 W . Both version will exist in parallel. AMD is also assembled to release 65 nm version athlon 64 X2 4600+ (2.4 GHz) . Already in the third quarter this processor risks to disappear from the official AMD Price- list .
Athlon 64 X2 processors are forced for some time to compensate the modest assortment of dual core phenom 6xxx. During March AMD will present the economical processor athlon X2 4850e (2.5 GHz) with TDP level not more than 45 W. In the fourth quarter the assortment of this processors series will be reduced to two models.
