As expected, the downturn in the PC market continued in the first quarter of 2016.  According to the new report market research firm IDC, at the end of the reporting period, the delivery of computers around the world amounted to 60.6 million units, up 11.5% from a year earlier.  Note that analysts expected that worldwide PC shipments in the last quarter will be reduced by 11.3%. New market research firm IDC report said that consumer demand for PCs remains weak.  One of the reasons was the economic instability, as well as falling rates of many countries against the dollar. "In the short term, the PC market has to deal with more limited interests of consumers and competition from other devices formats  ," - said research manager at IDC Worldwide PC Tracker Jay Choi (Jay Chou). In the first quarter PC shipments fell 5.8% to 13,625 million units in the United States.  There among computer manufacturers leading American company Dell, put on the local market in the first three months  3.483 million copies.  This allowed  to take first place with a share of 25.6%, surpassing for the first time since the third quarter  2009, the permanent leader of the past years, HP .  It now controls 25.3% of the PC in the US market, putting in the reporting period, 3.445 million. In third place is Lenovo with 14.1% market share.  Also in the top five in the US included Apple and Acer, which owns 13% and 5.2% market share respectively.
