As found out German media , Apple has hammered together in a secret laboratory in Berlin team of dozens of experts, and they pull their hands to the surrounding motorcar giants in search of technology and expertise that can be useful when creating your own vehicle. The publication Handelsblatt explains how a Canadian-Austrian auto components manufacturer Magna Steyr and platforms could be beaten to the forefront in the competition for Apple contracts.
Originally, Apple was in talks on cooperation with BMW, which had been declared invalid in the past year. Then picked up the baton manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz cars - the concern Daimler. But this German Apple partner failed to agree on two points: in whose hands more initiatives and competencies will be focused, and who will be responsible for storage of data collected by each car of their owner. It was assumed that Apple will create an electric connecting to the global network, which is at least part of the time to move automatically. German manufacturers are reluctant to share information that may affect the interests of their customers, while Apple has traditionally wanted to gain full control over the personal data of car owners.
