Work on the next generation of Bluetooth is almost complete. The new Bluetooth standard 5 will be officially presented next Thursday, 16 June. This was announced by the head of the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), Mark Powell (Mark Powell), which refers to the online edition of NextPowerUp.
Bluetooth 5, according to executive director of the SIG Mark Powell, will add considerably more features. The new data transmission standard provides a fourfold increase in the data rate (for Low Energy mode), as well as twice the frequency range in comparison with the current versions of Bluetooth. He also added that Bluetooth will open 5 new functionality for specific tasks, such as navigation.
