Even before the release Radeon RX 480, there were rumors that the GPU Polaris 10 will receive a 40 computing units, and 2560 stream processors respectively. That is, according to the rumors, Radeon RX 480 was to be used "stripped down" version of the GPU computing with only 36 units.
Evan Groenk (Evan Groenk), who served as a senior product manager in the "graphic" division of AMD's, and was directly involved in the development of GPU Polaris 10, in an interview with our colleagues from PCGamesHardware shared information about some of the architectural features of the GPU.
According to Evan, in the graphics card Radeon RX 480 graphics processor used Polaris 10 in its full configuration. It does have 36 computing units, and does not contain disconnected or no hidden blocks . This is the highest and greatest version of the Polaris 10, says Evan.
