The processor core 2 Duo e7200 (2.53 GHz) on 45 nm core wolfdale (3 mb cache in the second level) is well known. It will be officially released on 11 May in the present year, wholesale price will be $133. It will be the cheapest 45 nm processor core 2 Duo in the desktop segment, and therefore attention from overclocker side will be high. The presence of 1066 MHz system bus will ensure to this processor the sufficiently high default multiplier 9.5x.
If we consider that the deliveries of 45 nm processors core 2 Quad C1 stepping will begin already this week, the processors core 2 Duo e7200 produced during May will be based on stepping M1 . Associate tested the processor core 2 Duo e7300 (2.66 GHz) on overclock. We note that the tested model is based on C0 stepping .  With powerful air cooler ZEROtherm BTF92 this processor was overclocked to 4.4 GHz with 1.52 v. With 1.38 v this processor overclock to 4.0 GHz.  The overclocking potential of this processors can be limited only by the low overclock limit on system bus (FSB wall). Related Products : | ||
