Apparently, recent reports of analytical agencies, showed AMD strengthening position in the market of graphics solutions, as encouraged by the company's management, as in the investor presentation topic "increase market share" mentioned at every opportunity. Already this year, the company expects to strengthen its position in the "profitable" market segments: graphics and client computing solutions.
In the long term, AMD is going to raise the rate of return from the current 31% to 36-40%, with relying mainly on three categories of products: servers, embedded solutions and professional graphics cards. In fact, consumer products are not mentioned. Up to thirty percent of revenue AMD promises to let on operating expenses, among which there will be the costs of developing new products. Operating margin should exceed 10%, AMD is going to to optimize the cost to produce customized solutions.
