Younger Skylake-S processor requires a suitable motherboard, to increase the base frequency of the generator and not the CPU multiplier. As is well known, this overclocking methods are not welcomed by Intel. Swedish enthusiast Rauf managed to raise the frequency of the base generator to 171 MHz using a motherboard MSI Z170A XPower Gaming Titanium Edition, provided that the resulting frequency CPU Core i3-6100, equal to 6331 MHz.
