Acer is at IFA 2016 recalled about a joint venture with the Swedish developer Starbreeze , which marketed the helmet virtual reality StarVR, featuring original optics based on Fresnel lenses and wide viewing angles of 210 degrees horizontally and 130 degrees vertically.
For Each eye the device allocates one 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The latest version StarVR weighs less than 380 grams, increasing comfort of working with a virtual reality helmet. Partners for the production StarVR announced that they have begun shipping the first production copies in IMAX mini-cinemas, using virtual reality technology for viewing movies. The first such center will start operation at the end of the year in Los Angeles, then a similar point will be opened in London, New York and Shanghai. IMAX is going to cooperate with the film studios, stimulating the release of the film, suitable for viewing in a virtual reality helmet.
