At the quarterly reporting conference Intel executives admitted that the first generation of server platforms with Purley Skylake generation processors will not provide support for memory-type 3D XPoint, and who wish to obtain the relevant decisions will have to wait indefinitely to Purley platform second generation.
In the first quarter 2017, Intel will introduce not only the server platform Purley and desktop processors Kaby Lake, but also chipsets Lewisburg family, the new models of mobile processors Kaby Lake (Series M, H and U), as well as new models Atom processors and Quark. Part of the new products will be focused on the segment of "Internet of Things", the desire to gain a foothold in the Intel which has intensified after the transaction Qualcomm on NXP purchase. Starting from the second quarter 2017, Intel expects to introduce new products for the "Internet of Things" and the automotive sector.
