The following year the legendary Nokia will return the global mobile market. This was confirmed by the Finnish company itself, which announced to investors about their plans for the next two years at the event Capital Markets Day.
Judging by the published edition GSMArena slide, the return of Nokia brand in the global smartphone market is planned for 2017. However, the Finnish company itself is not going to produce smartphones. Instead it running smartphones Nokia brand will be engaged in company HMD Global, has entered into an exclusive agreement with Nokia to use its brand for 10 years. HMD Global in the next three years plans to invest in marketing at least 500 million euros.
New smart phones under Nokia brand will be presented at the annual Mobile World Congress 2017 (MWC 2017), which will be held from 27 February to 2 March next year in Barcelona. According to PhoneArena, the company HMD Global has already confirmed his participation in the exhibition. The only reason HMD presence at MWC 2017 is the announcement of the new Nokia smartphones.
At the moment, we know only one Nokia smartphone codenamed D1C. It will come with Android 7.0 Nougat operating system on board and is equipped with 5.5-inch display with a resolution of Full HD (1080p), 16-megapixel main camera and a built-in storage for 16 or 32 GB.
