Huawei is working on the creation of its new chip Hisilicon Kirin 970 mobile devices. Earlier it was reported that it would be the first Huawei processor, manufactured on 10-nanometer process technology.
According to the publication GizmoChina, production Kirin 970 on a 10-nanometer process technology will be engaged Taiwanese company TSMC. The composition of the new SoC will include eight cores, consisting of four core Cortex-A73 cores and four Cortex-A53, as well as LTE-modem Cat.12 support. The maximum clock frequency at which the 970 will run Kirin, will be 2.8-3.0 GHz.
As expected, Kirin 970 will be officially announced in the first quarter of 2017. At the same time it will begin and mass production. The first device based on Kirin 970 will be the flagship smartphone Huawei Mate 10. Its launch will be held in the second half of next year. Related Products :
