Russian computer market is highly dependent on the fluctuations of the ruble, as all components used in mass computers are imported and purchased by foreign currency. In the last half the ruble could strengthen against the euro and the US dollar. According to DigiTimes resource, refers to comments from Asustek and Acer Chinese media, a positive trend has actually occurred.
At least, if in the past two years, revenue from sales in the Russian market of laptops in the Asustek's financial performance did not exceed 2-3%, but now it has grown to 4-5%. Of course, this is not the 6-7% pre-crisis levels, but still significant growth. Acer also notes the increase in sales volumes in the Russian market of laptops in the second half of last year, linking this trend with the strengthening of the ruble and rising oil prices.
