Presenting the platform centrino atom for pocket devices , intel company described about the chipset poulsbo possibilities , which ensures video decoding acceleration and directX 9 support . As it was explained, the graphic system in this chipset was developed by imagination technologies company .
PowerVR (imagination technologies company) released already the graphic system of gaming console sega dreamcast. During July 2006, intel company acquired rights to use powerVR SGX technology . Specifically, this graphic core was used in poulsbo chipset , utilized by centrino atom platform . This graphic core support directX 10.1, Shader model 4.1 and OpenGL 2.0, but at the drivers level , intel here limited its possibility to directX 9 support . The acceleration of video decoding is possible with powerVR VXD technology . | ||
