It was considered that the processor core 2 Extreme QX9650 (3.0 GHz) will be officially released on C1 stepping during March, we already reported many times about its good overclocking potential. However, in the first days of April intel company published the notice : the deliveries of core 2 Extreme QX9650 processors on C1 stepping are reexamined.
In particular, the new document revision communicates that users can obtain series processors C1 stepping not earlier than 4 August, 2008. It was considered that the corresponding processors will be released already during 3 March. After transfer from C0 on C1 stepping processor core 2 Extreme QX9650 marking will change from (SLAN 3-> SLAWN). Reason for delay is the need to get rid of C0 stepping reserves . Therefore , intel decided to begin the deliveries of C1 stepping processors only during August. | ||
