If the output Ryzen 5 revived the competition in the overclocking of processors with six cores, the overclockers that overclocked the Core i7-7700K got a "second wind" simply because of the realization of a certain stagnation in the sphere of extreme overclocking of Kaby Lake family processors.  In the GPUPI for CPU 1B test, this processor accelerated to 6,985 MHz with liquid nitrogen, showing a result of 3 minutes 44,227 seconds. In other disciplines the frequency was lower, but this did not prevent to take the first places among all processors with four cores: Cinebench R11.5 (16.87 points at 6.9 GHz frequency ); WPrime 32M (2.874 seconds at 6.91 GHz) and wPrime 1024M (1 minute 30.937 seconds at 6.89 GHz frequency).
