The same Reuters agency referring to NHK data reported that Apple could be involved as a partner of Foxconn in acquiring Toshiba assets. According to Apple's plan, the American company will share the money that will be needed to purchase Toshiba's memory business, and Foxconn will become the owner of approximately 30% of the new company's shares. Equity participation of Apple will alleviate the tension of Japanese partners.
With reference to Nikkei, Reuters informs that Foxconn also wants to attract Japanese corporation SoftBank to the deal for the repurchase of Toshiba assets. As you know, SoftBank now owns the British holding ARM, which develops microprocessor architectures. Theoretically, investments into the production of solid-state memory will not contradict the interests of SoftBank, and for Foxconn the presence of the Japanese partner will become a "mitigating circumstance".
Reuters also reports that Toshiba is trying to negotiate with creditors to provide new loans against bail of some of the assets associated with the release of solid state memory. The Japanese manufacturer is trying to negotiate new loans in the amount of about $ 9.2 billion, of which only one-third will survive after the repayment of old debts. Related Products :
