Almost every day, overclockers prove that the Intel Skylake-X processors, even with the available number of cores, can stir up the ratings of extreme overclocking. German enthusiast Der8auer this week took up an engineering sample of the Core i7-7820X processor with eight cores, which was cooled with liquid nitrogen. Overclocker also used the thermal interface Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut, optimally suitable for overclocking using ultra-low temperatures.
The maximum frequency on which it was possible to keep the activity of all eight processor cores is 5900 MHz, it allowed to take the first place in HWBot Prime with the result of 10767.07 points.
The Cinebench R15 record was updated: at the frequency of 5811 MHz the processor scored 2614 points.
