Korean resource MOLA published information about the processors Coffee Lake-S, obtained from a participant in the closed seminar Intel for partners. In order not to compromise the source, the authors of the publication refused to reproduce photos with slides of official presentations, confining themselves to a textual description. Of course, it's better to see once than to translate from Korean a hundred times, but nobody gives us a choice here.
The main news is Intel's intention to use for the Coffee Lake processors a new revision of the LGA 1151 connector. In terms of its geometric characteristics, it will completely repeat the old one, but will only be found on boards based on chipset "three-hundred" series. Install in these boards will be processors Coffee Lake, but the processors Kaby Lake in them will not work, if you believe the source. Accordingly, processors Coffee Lake in the boards based on Intel Z270 and similar chipsets will not be installed either. It is easy to guess that such a substitution is done to stimulate the demand for new motherboards. However, the authors of the Korean publication have a shy hope that boards based on Intel x3xx chipsets will be able to shelter in the future 10-nm processors Cannon Lake.

* Pentium -> two cores, 4 streams, 4 MB cache combined with built-in graphics such as GT2 or 3 MB cache combined with built-in graphics such as GT1;
* Celeron-> two cores, 2 streams, 2 MB cache, built-in graphics such as GT1.
