The first overclock experiment of four core Intel processors proved that CPU VTT can have a positive effect on the stability of processor during overclock. Intel company  in its technical documentation about 45 nm four core  processors indicates that the maximum voltage value vtt must not exceed 1.45 v. Associates report that the processor core 2 Extreme QX9650 malfunctioned after prolonged operation under vtt more than 1.45 v. ( continuous operation = more than 24 hours ). There are special cases and copies where the processors can work without problems with vtt = 1.45 v. However, we recommend to retain this voltage below 1.45 v. Related Products :

	FYI. From what I understand, the dual core 45nm processors (Intel e8200,e8400 and e8500) need less VTT than the quads.

	I have my Q9550 on a Asus S2E under water and was IBT 20 passes stable on 1.12V VTT (1.10V in BIOS), minimum possible, much below the Auto setting of 1.22V, maybe it helps, but it\'s not crucial.
