Some motherboards on base of  AMD 780G chipset cannot work with phenom X4 processors , which have TDP level 125 W. For such processors AMD recommends to use motherboard on base of chipset AMD 790FX. As reports associate with the reference to the technical support of gigabyte company  , some motherboards on base of chipset AMD 790FX will not support X4 9950 phenom (2.6 GHz) processor  , whose TDP level is equal to 140 W. Those desiring to exploit a similar processor model has two options : First, it is possible to wait for the appearance of more economical version phenom X4 9950 (2.6 GHz) with lower TDP value . Second, it is possible to select other motherboards. For example, standard design motherboard on base of chipset AMD 790GX allows to work with processor phenom X4 9950 (2.6 GHz) (TDP version with value approximately 140 W).
