Immediately several sources reported that the official announcement of graphic accelerators AMD ATI radeon HD 4000 should be expected on 15 - 22 June (some speak about 18 June). The Radeon HD 4850 (code name  makedon) must immediately appear in retail, and the announcement of high end radeon HD 4870 (code name trojan) will takes place only a week later .It is necessary to wait due to the insufficient deliveries capacity Of qimonda GDDR5 chips and high memory price . The Radeon HD 4850 will be equipped with 256 or 512 MB GDDR3 memory . Such cards will have a compact cooling system, which occupies one slot. It is expected that AMD will recommend to its partners to set the retail prices at a level less than 200 dollars for the two models  high-end ( HD 4850 will cost $189-219, and HD 4870 : $249-279). Motherboards on base of chipsets AMD 790FX, 790GX, Intel skulltrail, X48 will support CrossFire with the application of up to 4 video cards. Associate reported the following performance diagram in 3DMark06. Functionally new ATI HD 4000 products will exceed HD 3800, and they will bring the support of physics calculations hardware acceleration . If NVIDIA will build this support in GT200 generation on base of physical core physX, then AMD lays hopes on Havok. The characteristics Appear successful if we consider the  price. 	I hope these cards don\'t suck. I like ATi, but I need enough power to run my 2560x1600 Dell 30\" so if nVidia is offering more RAW power, by atleast 30% screw ATi.

	Even current ATI cards get a good score in 3dmark in relation to geforce offerings, but they can fall short in some games specially if AA is enabled. Still, 20-30% higher than 8800 GT is good for the price. I look forward to a passively cooled 4850 card

	Currently , The HD 3870 cost as much as the 8800 GT , but here the Gt perform better , why are u getting the radeon ??? . For more heat and less performance ??? .:-) . hope situation will be improved with The HD 47xx series/.

	Actually, the RV670 uses less power and runs cooler than G92 (even the GT, with 112 active shaders) G92 is faster in a single card configuration, though crossfire scales better than SLI in most cases. the RV770 will be even more aggressive on power consumption than RV670, and from what I\'ve heard, will idle at less than 10W
