The standard version radeon HD 4850 uses 512 MB GDDR3 memory , and it works at default frequencies 625/1986 MHz. The video card radeon HD 4870 are equipped with higher high-speed memory GDDR- 5.
PowerColor company released a new video card type : AX4850 512MD 4- PPH, which is the radeon HD 4850, with 512 MB GDDR-4 memory . The default frequencies are equal to 675/2200 MHz .  The Alternative cooler allow PowerColor to promise reduction in the video chip temperature by 10 degree Celsius in comparison with standard cooling system .
