We recently described about AMD priorities in the creation of video chip. All high-end AMD products will be based on two-chip solution.
According to the producer evaluations , the video card radeon HD 4850 will be able to ensure up to 75% of the speed of the more expensive GeForce GTX 280. The energy consumption level in this case will not exceed 110 W, but price will be equal to $199. ( GeForce GTX 280 require 236 W and $649 ).

Two Radeon HD 4850, according to AMD evaluations , will be up to 30% faster than a single geForce GTX 280. The most interesting, that the recommended price Of radeon HD 4870 can be lowered from $349 to $299. It was considered that Radeon HD 4870 will be approximately up to 30% faster than Radeon HD 4850. AND here NVIDIA my have a serious problems .

According to (Bergman's Rick), AMD graphic subdivision chapter , NVIDIA also realizes the advantages of two-chip product, and GT200 will become the last monolithic video chip in this price segment.

All I read about is shaders and Vantage numbers, What I really want to know is; Does it have better picture quality than a 280/260 and what kind of FPS in crysis? Quit with the Vantage numbers already and tell us what it will actually do....
