The cooling system of the GeForce 9800 GX2 was limited to the video card layout - two printed-circuit board halves were inverted each to other, and the radiator was pressed between them. EVGA company recently released the appropriate copper water block. If the regular geForce 9800 GX2 cooler overclock the core up to 700 MHz (756 MHz after volt-mod), then the use of this water-block allow to raise this value to 800 MHz without volt-mod, and to 880 MHz after volt-mod. If we considers that even with the regular cooling system the geForce 9800 GX2 can complete with the new one chip GeForce GTX 280, the question about water-block do not look so promising . | ||
