The first references about RV740 and RV710 appeared in February, then all information was around the RV770 chip, which is used now in radeon HD 4870 and Radeon HD 4850, and it will also serve for creating the two-chip video card r700 at the end of this month. From the other side, RV670 chip ( radeon HD 38xx ) will simply pass in the more accessible price segment. AMD prepares video card, also, in the more accessible price niches. In particular, as reports associate, the video cards on the base of RV730 and RV710 chips . The first will be equipped with 512 mb GDDR3 memory, which works at 1400 MHz DDR. Other two version will obtain 1800 MHz DDR memory frequency : 512 mb Version ( hynix memory ) and 1 Gb memory ( from samsung production ) . One additional video card with 512 mb GDDR3 memory ( hynix ) will operate at 2 GHz DDR. Video card on base of RV710 chip will be equipped with 512 mb or 1 Gb GDDR3 memory which works at 1600 MHz DDR frequency. In the first case AMD will use hynix memory , in the second memory from samsung production . Note currently there is no versions with 256 mb memory | ||
