Seagate company yesterday declared about the production of new HDD model with a 1.5 TB volume , which exactly consists on four magnetic plates on 375 GB each. Like all hard drives of this class, it has 32mb buffer, SATA-300, interface and rotations speed 7200 RP/min , delivery will begin in August this year. Simultaneously Seagate presented the new hard drives 2.5 inches , oriented to laptop computers. In the series momentus 5400.6 and Momentus 7200.4 appeared models with 500 GB volume . In the first case the rotation speed 5400 rp/min is combined with 8mb buffer, in the second case the rotation speed 7200 rp/min is combined with 16mb buffer. In both cases the interface SATA-300 is supported .The deliveries of these HDD will begin in the fourth quarter of the present year | ||
