In the third quarter of the present year intel company will present its first mobile processor with four core - Core 2 Extreme QX9300 (2.53 GHz). The TDP value of this four core processor is only 45 W . Note the dual core processor core 2 Extreme x9100 with 3.06 frequency has TDP not more than 44 W.

From the other side, the processor core 2 Extreme QX9300 possesses the free multiplier, which allows better overclocking. . Assocaite reports that one Australian producer already proposes the processor core 2 Extreme QX9300 (2.53 GHz) with 2 X 6 mb cache in the second level in one laptop . Let us note that this model is not presented officially, but all can change already tomorrow, when the official announcement of centrino 2 (Montevina) platform will take place . The cost of the mobile four core processor intel will exceed $1000.

When this processor hits $600 - $700, I\'m in. At over $1k, its a pill I just can\'t quite swallow, or justify to the wife...
