Preparing the announcement of fifth generation mobile platform centrino , intel company decided to change  the name a little, after adding to the known Brand  Centrino the modest number  2. Meanwhile changes in this platform are not many . Thus, yesterday intel company  published on its site the press release, which announces the platform centrino 2. Let us start from the description of prices and new processors characteristics , which are only six, but later intel will add eight models, including the first four core processor core 2 Extreme for the mobile computers. Its TDP level will be equal to 45 W, and the frequency will be limited to 2.53 GHz. Currently the following dual core processors are available : Core 2 Extreme x9100 (3.06 GHz) - > 45 nm, 1066 MHz bus, 6 mb cache in the second level, TDP=44 W,  $851; Core 2 Duo t9600 (2.8 GHz) - > 45 nm, 1066 MHz bus, 6 mb cache in the second level, TDP=35 W, $530; Core 2 Duo t9400 (2.53 GHz) - > 45 nm, 1066 MHz bus, 6 mb cache in the second level, TDP=35 W, $316; Core 2 Duo p9500 (2.53 GHz) - > 45 nm, 1066 MHz bus, 6 mb cache in the second level, TDP=25 W, $348; Core 2 Duo p8600 (2.4 GHz) - > 45 nm, 1066 MHz bus, 3 mb cache in the second level, TDP=25 W, $241; Core 2 Duo p8400 (2.26 GHz) - > 45 nm, 1066 MHz bus, 3 mb cache in the second level, TDP=25 W, $209. Note , that three processors have a  TDP level not more than 25 W. . Undoubtedly, the noise level , heat emissions and battery life will be improved . The integrated graphic core GMA 4500,  ensure a high operation speed in comparison with predecessors, and also allow to accelerate video decoding from blu-ray at the hardware level.  Furthermore, this chipset support DirectX 10, and also DDR3 memory .  One important quality of this integrated chipset is the ability to switch between built-in video care and discrete video card. As in case of hybrid power technology, a similar diagram allows to economize electric power. The  wireless network adapters series intel 5xxx was was also improved  in comparison with predecessors. They support the standard 802.11 Draft- N, which ensures data transmission with speed up to 450 Mbit/s. This Platform will also support WiMAX .
