Since the geForce 9800 GT is the successors Of geForce 8800 GT, the majority of NVIDIA partners released many alternative versions. Gigabyte company , for example, presented the video card GV-N98TZL-512H with 512 MB memory and Zalman cooler .

In the near future gigabyte will release the version GV-N98TZL-1GH with 1Gb GDDR-3 memory . The first card already appeared in Japan for approximately $185, the card default frequencies are 600/1500/1800 MHz. Gigabyte mentions about the use of 65 nm g92 video chip , but in this case on the video card box it is possible to reveal a notification about the support to hybrid power technology . This once more proves, that this function is not attached to 55 nm g92b Chip.

The main advantage of this card is the high-quality cooler form zalman production . There are no radiators on the memory microcircuits .

I picked up one of these yesterday. Haven\'t installed and powered up yet. But can someone explain why on the small print at the back of the box, it says it\'s \"powered by Nvidia 8800GT\"? (yes, 8800, not 9800) I found that a bit worrying.

as we already said many time the only deference between 8800GT and 9800GT is the core (65nm vs 55nm), Most produced today 9800GT use the old 65nm core (so they are the good old 8800GT just with some updated bios microcode) . The only worthily to buy now 9800GT is from sparkle since it include the 55 nm G92b . Sorry to say that , but currently u have just a 8800GT branded as a 9800GT . Try to be careful next time in your purchase and read all our news (or just ask) .
