Intel presentation opened some components relative to Larrabee. Larrabee will be the independent x86- chip, but not something like the integrated intel graphic core .
According to the company concept : the first larrabee chip will be oriented for the PC market , which indicates that intel look to those market segments where NVIDIA and AMD are leaders (discrete video card for gaming PC ). On intel opinion , larrabee solution will successfully combines the properties of CPU and GPU.

Intel Engineer : Visual computing group, Larry seiler noted : "for us it is necessary the architecture, which combines the possibility of CPU programming with massive parallelism and simultaneously with the properties characteristic for GPU".

According to the company plans , Larrabee will count ten and hundreds of cores. Their number will vary depending on market segment . Currently the discussion deals with solutions, which count from 8 to 48 cores.

Each processor core will operate with 256 KB cache in the second level - cache will be scaled - proportionally grow with an increase in the total number of cores. Those cores are associated with the 1024- bits bidirectional bus with the annular topology. In this case Larrabee does not need the support of any concrete API. It will support applications (games), which Microsoft directX and open GL support.
Larrabee also supports different calculations applications .
