Intel published a new document PCN (Product change notification) witch report that several processors : core2 Of duo: T9600, T9400, P9500, P8600, P8400 and Core2 extreme x9100 will be updated . These centrino 2 processors will obtain a new stepping , according to the producer , it will influence the operation speed of these processor. New stepping, will bring change in CPUID from 00010676h to 0001067Ah (Bios update will be required), and also values S -Spec and mm, it will allow CPU to work at higher frequencies without change in electrical and mechanical components. T9600, T9400, P9500, Core2 extreme x9100 stepping will be updated from C -0 to E -0, and the models p8600, P8400 will be updated from M-0 to R-0. These processors in the wholesale parties will become accessible for users on 8 December . | ||
