According to the last data , the graphic part of swift processors will relate to RV8xx generation , and for their production AMD will use the 40 NM technological process ( TSMC ) .
Associate reports that fusion processors first generation under the code name swift will have the graphic core RV710 class , and TSMC company will be occupied by their production on 45nm technology . This graphic core has its own code designation ( Kong ) , it will ensure support to directX 10.1 and UVD technology .
The graphic part of the first fusion processors will obtain 40 streams processors, from four to eight (according to different data) textural blocks, four blocks Rops. With 600-800 MHz frequency , the graphic core will have a TDP level not more than 5-8 W, in the rest state it will not exceed 0.4-0.6 W. With the DDR-3 memory this graphic core will be connected using the 128- bit bus. On the speed level the graphic core kong is approximately one and a half times faster than AMD RS780 integrated chipset. The mass production of the first fusion processors will start in the second-half 2009.
