This week Intel company presented its first processors with six core ( monolithic crystal ). However, due to the failure of performance in the server segment (due to the limited FSB) Intel released processors with no more than six core.
As explains associate with the reference to chief Nehalem developer , this processors generation will obtain eight core within the 45 nm technology, in the second-half of 2008. The 8 core nehalem representatives will be used in the server segment, which is completely regular. The cache volume in the third level will be increased, while the frequency will be reduced.
In the desktop segment such processors will not be released . Since nehalem architecture support hyper-Threading and the quantity of virtual core will be already twice higher than physical which is pretty enough for desktop system (processing 4 or 8 thread simultaneously) . Related Products :
