First Let us note that in the quiescent conditions the processor reduces its frequency from 2.3 GHz to 1.15 GHz, and vcore to 1.05 v. however, this does not help the kuma processor to be more economical than Brisbane - the energy consumption level is higher on average by 20 W .  The overclock of this new processor was accomplished after a multiplier increase . With the default voltage it was possible to attain a stable 3.0 GHz frequency. After raising the core voltage to 1.4375 v, the processor overclocked to 3.3 GHz. Finally, with 1.45 v , the processor could operate at 3.4 GHz.
