Server four core shanghai processors will appear in the following block, they will preserve compatability with Socket F, and they will support the hyperTransport 1.0. At the same time  those proposed processors with get the hyperTransport 3.0 support  . First , shanghai processors actually will enter in the following block. In the second place, AMD considered the errors of previous processor announcement ( 65 nm processors barcelona ), and now it proposes to users many products with the increased speed. According to AMD estimations , shanghai processors at equal frequencies (with Barcelona) will prove to be up to 20% faster . The frequency potential will be also improved. It is important to note that AMD representatives acknowledged the intentions to announce 45 nm six-core istanbul processors in the fourth quarter 2009. They will use the socket F and support DDR-2 memory . From the middle of 2009 AMD expects to pass for its own server chipset. According to AMD representatives , the announcement of desktop 45 nm processors (deneb) will be in the fourth quarter 2008 or in the first quarter 2009.
