Last week Samsung company officially declared about the production of its first notebook models, which use AMD processors . The producer explains his step with the market share for mobile computers : AMD processors (for notebook) in Russia from September 2007 through September 2008 composed 16,1%. The first models with AMD processors will become the notebook R455 and R505. They are built on the new platform AMD puma with AMD turion X2 and X2 Ultra processors. The utilized in R455 and R505 notebooks graphic card ATI radeon, which support Microsoft directX 10.1, is rather well suitable for contemporary applications. I\'m actually on an R505 now. All in all a good notebook. Good battery life on power saver mode. I can get a little over 2 hours on the standard battery word processing in the power saver mode, while some peers C2D models are only managing around 1hr doing the same. And the ATI dedicated graphics is a bonus freeing up that system RAM & leaving it capable of playing games far better then any intergrated graphics by Intel. I\'m expecting great stability from a complete AMD system GFX, CPU & Chipset I take it & so far this rings true.
