On 8 January AMD will announce the first desktop 45- nm AMD processors , phenom II. Starting models will be released with socket AM2+, DDR2 memory controller .
However, AMD is not intended to forget about socket AM3. According to the producer, the development of such CPU and motherboard is going better than planned. Socket AM3 motherboards with DDR3 support are expected on the market at the end of January. The more probable period is February.
