Today Intel company updated its official Price- list, after prescribing in five new mobile processors, produced on 45 NM technology. Four of them are based on E0 stepping, and one on M0 stepping. Perhaps, the most significant update became the announcement of four cores mobile processor core 2 Quad q9000 (2.0 GHz) , which is proposed on the wholesale price $348. In comparison with the more expensive predecessor (Q9300): core 2 Quad q9100 ($851), has a lowered clock frequency while the full 12 Mb cache in the second level was preserved. The TDP level of this processor is equal to 45 W.
The elder dual core mobile processor from Intel is now the Core 2 Duo t9800 (2.93 GHz), which has 6 Mb cache in the second level and TDP not more than 35 W. Let us examine the brief characteristics of all represented today dual core processors core 2 Duo:
- Core 2 Duo t9800 (SLGES) - > 2.93 GHz, 1066 MHz tire, 6 MB cache in the second level, TDP not more than 35 W, price $530;
- Core 2 Duo p9600 (SLGE6) - > 2.66 GHz, 1066 MHz tire, 6 MB cache in the second level, TDP not more than 25 W, price $348;
- Core 2 Duo t9550 (SLGE4) - > 2.66 GHz, 1066 MHz tire, 6 MB cache in the second level, TDP not more than 35 W, price $316;
- Core 2 Duo p8700 (SLGFE) - > 2.53 GHz, 1066 MHz tire, 3 MB cache in the second level, TDP not more than 25 W, price $241.
We also note that Intel erroneously indicates in the Price- list the cache volume of core 2 Duo p8700 processor, based on M0 stepping - actuality it is equal to 3 Mb :
