Dell announced in CES exhibition a new monitor : Dell 2209WA.
Here we deal with 22- inches monitor which combines the reasonable price : 459 Australian dollars (about 310 American dollars) with IPS matrix . Dell declares about 83% color space scope CIE1976.  Dell 2209WA characteristics:

| It\'s amazing. I switched from HP w2007v (which was pretty good) and also compared it another 22\" TN panel from Samsung... and there\'s no comparison! The Dell 2209WA monitor is simply outstanding. I\'m no pro, but as far as my eyes can see colors are great, edges are sharp, black is nearly perfect black and illumination is equal (there are no brighter or darker areas), and what\'s the best: no matter what angle you choose, the sreen always looks the same!!! Everything including games perform great, much better than with TN panels.
PROS:
+ e-IPS panel with all the advantages mentioned above
+ very stable at desk and easily adjustable height, angle and pivot
+ very thin frame
+ anti-glare coating
+ price
CONS:
- hard to think of...
- could be WUXGA (1920x1200)
- no HDMI (DVI is sufficient though)
- OSD is not bad, but I\'ve already seen more intuitive ones
- no built-in 5.1 Dolby Surround
- other unimportant crap :)
I got my one very, I mean very cheap, if you too happen to find it below $300 don\'t think twice, because it\'s worth a lot more! |
