Today MSI company presented a new motherboards , calculated for AMD AM3 processors, which promise the high performance and oriented to overclockers and enthusiasts.


There two models : 790FX-GD70 and 790GX-G65. They support 45- nm processors AMD phenom II, with DDR3 memory , they are equipped with the energy-saving technologies: DrMOS second generation and APS (Active phase switching).

MSI AM3 gives user a high efficiency (93,6%) .

MSI 790GX-GD70, is made on 790FX/SB750, it has 5 phase design DrMOS power design, and it supports processors with TDP 140 W. According to MSI the APS technology allows to supply all PC elements with high loads and adequate energy quantity.

Furthermore, MSI 790FX-GD70 and 790GX-G65 support functions, which are probably claimed by demanding users: OC dial and MAX FSB.
MSI 790FX-GD70 and 790GX-G65 support 7.1- sound channel , they are equipped with eSATA and USB ports. In MSI 790FX-GD70 the support of ATI crossfire and Hybrid crossfire is realized, there are 4 x PCI- E 2.0 x16.
MSI 790GX-G65 has the integrated video core : Radeon HD3300. It supports the API DirectX 10, DVI, HDMI and D -sub. Furthermore, this motherboard support 1- Gbit DDR 3-1333 memory SidePort in order to improve the video system performance , which can be updated and strengthened independently, after adding the separate card Radeon HD 3400 and Hybrid CrossFireX Related Products :
