The support of DDR3 memory will be released by AMD company  only with design change to Socket AM3, which can work also in socket AM2+ and AM2 motherboards. Jetway company decided to release a smoother update from socket AM2+ to socket AM3. The motherboard MA 3 -79GDG COMBO is equipped with socket AM2+ and with two slots DIMM - for DDR-2 memory modules  (black color) and DDR- 3 (pink color) . In this case user cannot install both memory types simultaneously . The type of utilized memory is determined by the processor design concept  . Each DIMM slots pair supports up to 4 GB memory, which works in the dual-channel regime. The maximum memory operation modes  are DDR 2-1066 and DDR 3-1066.   This motherboard  is also provided with 128 Mb for the graphic system memory . It is based on AMD 790GX + SB750, which includes an integrated graphic core. Two PCI express x16 slots work according to : PCI express x8 + PCI express x8. There is also a PCI express x1 and PCI slot . Six ports SATA-300 are coupled with one port IDE and two eSATA ports. Furthermore, it is possible to reveal a gigabit net port, four ports USB 2.0,  HDMI, DVI and D -Sub. The Chipset AMD 790GX support the technologies hybrid crossfire and CrossFire X.
