Within the preparation of first 45 NM processors announcement ( phenom II X4 ) AMD company actively advertised their overclocking potential, AND recently we learned, that in the second quarter 2009 AMD is assembled to release the processor phenom II X4 950 (3.1 GHz).
Associate yesterday reported the intentions of company to present before the end of year the following 45 NM processors phenom II X4 Socket AM3:
- Phenom II X4 950 (3.1 GHz);
- Phenom II X4 960 (3.2 GHz);
- Phenom II X4 970 (3.3 GHz);
- Phenom II X4 980 (3.4 GHz);
- Phenom II X4 990 (3.5 GHz).
All these processors according to associate , will have the level TDP not more than 125 W. The hyperTransport 3.0 frequency will be also increased from 3600 to 4000 MHz.
Nothing prevents AMD from the release Of phenom II X4 with 3.5 GHz frequency - existing copies already reach this frequency with air cooling. Furthermore, AMD during this year can transfer the processors phenom II X4 to a new stepping with higher overclocking frequency potential.
